I have been working on the shape of the thorn bush. I have been working with Serpentine for close to a year now. Using primarily hand tools. When I started with using only hand tools, I was trying to find the beginning of sculpting in stone, when no power tools existed.

likely the most patient people on the planet.

I've yet to work with stone.

The process is completely different but I have thrown and formed a lot of stoneware.

You've inspired me to give it a shot.

I often use files and microplane shapers in wood working which appears to be a similar process.

Are you using specific or conventional files? does serpentine come in blocks?

    thanks for sharing!
