This is Etude number one of the 2007-2008 Texas All-Region/All-State audition music. It is by Karg-Elert and is one of three etudes chosen for the audition from the Mary Karen Clardy flute etude book.

  • I played this TMEA back in high on piccolo and made state but this was one of the easier songs! good job though!

    good grief, no kidding. Notice that he recorded this in the month of November... it was just a practice run. He still had 2 more months to get it even better for Area auditions in January, which is where it really counts. I also believe he was 1st in the state for 3 years, which is very impressive... most TX high school players, esp. flute, are lucky to make it once. It amazes me too how catty people can be on here :(
