Pink Floyd The Wall Movie Trailer

The movie tells the story of rock singer "Pink" who is sitting in his hotel room in Los Angeles, burnt out from the music business and only able to perform on stage with the help of drugs. Based on the 1979 double album "The Wall" by Pink Floyd, the film begins in Pink's youth where he is crushed by the love of his mother. Several years later he is punished by the teachers in school because he is starting to write poems. Slowly he begins to build a wall around himself to be protected from the world outside. The film shows all this in massive and epic pictures until the very end where he tears down the wall and breaks free.

This is a seriously, seriously under-rated movie....and I also don't like how many people claim this is a "stoner"/drug movie....the film actually tells a very real story of isolation, mental deterioration and how bad life experiences can cut you off from humanity.

I watched this movie in a cinema (LOUD!!) and was blown away.

this trailer is pretty bad... but the movie was good to me, great music and astonishing animation... if you have the chance of watching one of those videos of the origianl stage play; if you will; is obviously better or at least have more merit because of the technical dificulties to express that in a live concert. but, in the end, is good movie, its kind off what watter could imagine originally in his head, but with the advantages of cinema..

I think it's scary and amazing how NOTHING comes close to this! This is a fine piece of art and music. Roger Waters in a genius.

It is one of my favorite albums. I just saw The Wall with Waters in Stockholm a couple of days ago. This movie is great, sure a little freaky and disgusting at its times but still really really good. It's deep. Though not for all, I agree with.. uhm.. zeroxfcg that is. My stupid father (love him ofc) showed it to me when i was like 6 (not advisable!) and it kinda traumatized me and my sister.. Have totally forgiven him now but don't think mom ever will lol
