My grandma used to tell me that those engkantos (Nature spirits) live beneath the ground. Some sort of underground world. And yes, I actually believe in dwendes (a little) but even today, i still havent seen any. Anyways my grandmother and grandfather have seen a lot of Diwata (Fairies) My grandpa used to a have a friend that is an engkanto.

You are famous and popular here in the Phils. already..it isnt because of the dwende (i do believe they exist though) that's because God has been very generous to you He blessed you because you have a good heart, very humble and loving son. Keep it up man, you'll be more popular pa kasi mabait ka. We love you Mikey! :)

My dad told me a story about him brawling a dwende during his youth. He got hit on his forehead a had a black or dark spot there for about a month. He said the creature is about 7 to 10 inches tall and that my dad noticed that it was doing some kind of a ritual beside my aunt's bed. It noticed him so it tried to climb up to my dad's bed and that's when he struggled with it. Creepy but my aunt testified to whole story and that she was dreaming about a small man asking him to go to a certain place

yes I do.. when I was a kid me and cousin was been played by black duwende in my grandma's house.. Every other week i was confined to hospital and my cousin too. When we moved to another house we didn't get sick but when we go to my grandma we get high fever. It always happened as we observed that's why even I read the Bible I believed.

So da duende watching youtube too?? ^__^
I'm greatly amused by the Philippine folklore and mythology. Though dwendes might possibly true (basing on personal experiences of people I know), my greatest fear in Filipino myths is the santelmo. It is found in the region of Mindanao, specifically Surigao. It's a flaming skull that weeps blood, formed from a blood of a person that got rained within three days, usually caused by vehicle accidents. Just imagining the thing gives me the creeps.
