Giant Sickle Scythe

Because this is an extremely difficult and dangerous weapon, I wouldn't encourage many to wield it. The Scythe is a part staff and part pole arm. Unlike most of all of the other stick weapons of martial arts, this weapon has no balance control, which means along with being balanced with yourself, you must now also be the weapon's balance as well. It's mastered though, and it's my favorite weapon of choice:) Enjoy!!!

Your striking's ok, but blocking's not so good. Try looking at naginata, they keep it mostly on the centerline so nobody can move in. Like scythe, it's a heavy weapon, and you don't dare let someone close because then they have a serious speed advantage. Look up what're called the koryu bugei. Should give you some idea.

wow i used a scythe as a weapon of choice so many years ago *sigh* mine was smaller so blocking was easier but balance and focus is needed all the time. i was good but still i didn't like the mind set needed to really master it. it's the kind of weapon you can't let who your fighting get near at all so they must die or be injured, the blade it only good if they are on the very inside or very outside of it and the pole does not swing fast enough to injured on it's own like a staff would.

Great job.I love the scythe.Its the weapon of the people.But still be carefull with it its a very dangerous wepon to handle and to be sharpen.
