wow this actually sounds like a train!!! ian clarke is a legend. the first time i heard maya i cried. circular breathing is impossible btw!!! then again i don't play the flute...:)

You basically store small amounts of air slowly in your cheeks as you blow out, then you inhale through your nose while pressing the air out between your cheeks. It's already difficult enough, but on the flute, it's even harder because keeping your embouchure while your cheeks are puffed out is nearly impossible for some people.

@PresunCello um it's called polyphonics. It's incredibly hard to do -__- ka;sldfjk in my belief i think you have to divert your air in different areas to make that partial sound..

Why was there a trill that lasted like half a minute?

It is written in the music. On this trill you have to use circular breathing, it could be as long as you want.
