Mission To Mars - Brian De Palma - The Face, Second Contact

The year is 2020 and NASA has made another giant leap for mankind- successfully landing a team of astronauts on Mars. However, shortly after their arrival on the Martian surface, Mission Commander Luke Graham and his colleagues encounter something bizarre, shocking and chilling that brings about a catastrophic and mysterious disaster which decimates the crew. Graham is able to send one hasty cryptic message back to Earth before his nightmare begins. Haunted by the enigmatic last communication received from the ill-fated Mars One crew, NASA hurriedly prepares and launches a rescue mission to investigate the tragedy and bring back survivors- if any. Co-piloted by Commander Woody Blake and Jim McConnell, with colleagues Dr. Terri Fisher and scientist Phil Ohlmyer on board, the astronauts set out on a heroic six-month journey to Mars.

Today I heard about Arthur C. Clarke, I remember of him and 2001 - A Space Odissey when I saw this film.

Something reminds me of it. In this case is not a monolit.

i totally believe that DNA was planted by superior beings and we evolved from it. we are just an experiment. we cannot percieve what is possible by science, but think how technology has accelerated within the last 30yrs on earth. yet from just a burning fireball, which it took millions of years to get to this point.and earth is only supposed to be habital for the next 500,000 years and we go back to just being a burning rock. we are already screwing mother earth up.floods earthquakes,toxics etc

Well, I think that's the idea behind the film, but, if possible, I believe in something like this and believe too in a random grace, something evolve from finding absolutely case of being there, not putting away the evolution, but under certain conditions,

life could exit, and either it could come from out of the earth, let's say some minerals wasn't here at a primitive earth, some chemical reaction, some radiation, now we're in a particular place/circumstance, we are now a product of this great ambient, and we believe we are and we will be ... And so on ... and I am not good in English ...

@Davecw1953 thats the thing man, we can completely percieve what is possible from science idk what your toking but i want some man because thats the whole point of science is to understand what is possible. the only possibility with scientific backing is life erupting natively on earth with no help. The distances alone would be enough to strike aliens out of the question

@Davecw1953 floods are naturally occurring events caused by an excessive amount of rainfall over a landed surface for an extended period of time and have ALWAYS occurred in the past and are NOT manmade events. earthquakes are naturally occurring also due to the movement of magma within the earth's crust and are NOT manmade events and the same with volcanic events. the earth has always had toxins on it, just examine the natural pollution in the oceans, lakes, rivers and streams of the earth.
