Just one woman

2011 is the centenary of International Women's Day. Around the world women are rising up and joining hands to lay the foundations for peace.

We are the women who fled our homes, the women who risked everything to protect our children, and the women who watched from afar, not knowing how to help.

We come from all sides of conflict, and yet we recognise each other's humanity through our shared responsibility for the next generation.
