A collaboration project between UBC Fisheries Centre and The Great Northern Way Centre for Digital Media. We're developing a realtime 3d visualization of fish populations in the Gulf of Mexico. We're using the Blender Game Engine for the project.
The purpose is to replace spreadsheets and line graphs for communicating fish population forecasts. (Scenario based modeling.)
The back end data comes from Ecopath with Ecosim.

Collision detection needed. I saw at least four different instances of fish clipping through either each other or the ocean floor.
