first computer i used was a 1987 dos laptop we had. i learned word processing (wordperfect 5.1) and played a couple of simple games on it. i remember when my friend got a packard bell platinum with windows 98 in the late 90s and i thought it was wonderful! i have a macbook pro now.
Christmas of 1997 a Packard Bell Platinum Supreme 1850 PC With 13" Monitor Canon Printer keyboard mouse speakers cost around $2000 from Sears had Windows 95
dell 100d smartstep computer in late 2001 when i bought it for 800 bucks. It already had a POWERFUL 1000 mhz single core processor in it ( lol gag) smacked a 32 mb PNY video card and 512mb pc133 sdram in it and i thought i was something playing CS version 1.0 when it became available on a 800 x 600 17" ctr monitor at 35+ fps on a 256k max dsl connection. wow how times have changed. :P
Dell Inspiron with WIndows XP that was replaced in 2008 with a Dell XPS 420 with Windows VIsta which was then upgraded to 7. I currently use a 2007 iMac
