[1993]

Teddy Riley remix, with Teddy on some heavy talk-box/vocoder improv throughout the track over a vocal loop by Mary.

Written by Kenny Greene (of Intro) and Dave 'Jam' Hall.

Original version appears on Mary's debut albm, 'What's The 411?', produced by Dave Hall.

  • been looking for this version.thanks so very much for posting.isn't there a version where she is actually singing more than just the chorus?

  • no, at least not one with Teddy on the talk box like that.

there are a few mixes varying on the same beat (and with Mary singing proper in them).

but i dig this version because of Teddy's talk box freestyle he's got goin on.

  • Teddy was on some other stuff. THIS JOINT IS TOTALLY ZONED OUT! But You Just Gotta Love It Because This Is Before T-PAIN, LIL WAYNE, Auto Tune, etc.

  • smooth as Hell.....that teddy

  • YES N DEED.......LOVE IT

  • I love this version.. but don't forget... ROGER and ZAPP perfected the talkbox style... teddy used it sparingly... T Pain is the man.. everyone else is riding Pain's coat tail on that now... I see from the vid that the remixes were from a promo copy? That would explain why this is next to impossible to find.. thanks!

  • one the sickest remixes ever

  • TEDDY IZ DA BAWSE!!!

    BLACK ICE ENDORSED!

  • What happened to Mary J and TR ever since ??????

Thanks ArXter for this post !!!

  • thank u or posting

  • @dpcoronado ,

Yeah before the Jews and the NWO took out Bigg, Pac, and let the rise of the South start with No Limit Records/Master P and UGK. Since the South is known for coonery, they took over "Hip Hop" with this coon-ass, minstrel show "music" now.

NYC has the best music stars born even though Charlie Wilson is from Oklahoma, Ron Isley from Ohio, and Raphael Saadiq from N. Cali.

  • Daaaaaamn!!! Takes me back, I never hear this!!

Feels like I'm back in NY early 90's!

  • Sheeeeeeeeeit! Loved this and the Heavy D remix is in my top 3 of all time.
