Rather than getting pigeonholed as Deadheads, some very close friends of mine & I considered our(s)elves Airheads, all because of our preference for Paul Kantner's & Grace Slick's & Company's outreal music. Despite critical backlash, this is one of their best efforts, imho. Thank you for posting this, Mr Jukebox, thank you ~ (•8-D}

Despite the negative reviews this album got, I thought Jorma's playing was more powerful here than on some of the classic lineup stuff.

i agree, some good stuff on this album.

Marty left after Volunteers and would not return until the Dragon Fly tour in 1974.

Both Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship did better when Marty was in the band than when he wasn't. That says something about his charisma and star power.

The band Starship had hits in the mid and late 80's, but that was an outfit trying to be a boy band.

WE ARE ALL CREATURES OF FAME LIGHTNESS AND LIBERTY

One of the great majestic and grand choruses that Kantner was very good at.

His undying faith and love of humanity and what we all are and could be never ceases to amaze me.
