  • Is that the Mateel community center in the photo?

  • @auntiesmedley I agree that it's unpolished, but I think that's part of what makes early Okkervil River (and this song in particular) so absolutely fantastic. It's not perfect, but there's that raw brilliance that a lot of bands have early on, and which unfortunately fades more often than not in time. Technically this song is not well polished at all, but the emotional and thematic elements are works of genius....and as far as making you want to explode? this song definitely does that for me

  • While promising, this is clearly an unpolished work. "Another Radio Song" is so tightly performed, perfectly crafted and emotionally intense that it makes me want to explode from raw feeling. Now THAT'S what music should be!

  • @Dredawg42: I'd forgive Will Sheff also if he started to scream in my ear breaking my eardrum. He's written the best songs ever.

  • @webbew66 agreed. there is a section of another radio song where it builds up and sounds okay.. but overall, that version sounds forced. for the captain is so much better

  • i'm going to have to agree with jstlive. another radio song is so much more intense. this version may be more raw, but definitely immature.

  • are you kidding me? another radio song is just perfect and intense... this is great but under-produced and immature... but still its awesome to hear the earlier stages of a band that I now consider my favorite band!

  • thank god someone finally posted this song. I like this version so much more than 'another radio song' or whatever the other one is called. Thank You!
