Shishi Gami nella cultura giapponese, è lo spirito della foresta, un simbolo universale che rappresenta le forze della natura, delle selve e degli animali nella loro dimensione mitica prima che lintervento umano modificasse lequilibrio con la natura. Ha delle analogie con il mito di Dioniso, con quello celtico di Kernunnos, luomo con corna di cervo che vive nella foresta e con quello indiano di Pashupati il signore degli animali.
Shishi Gami è lessere supremo che ha il potere sulla vita e sulla morte di tutto ciò che vive nella foresta. Ad ogni suo passo, dove i suoi piedi toccano la terra, piante e fiori sbocciano e muoiono immediatamente dopo. Ha il potere di prendere la vita e di dare la vita. Quando attraversa lacqua ha il potere di camminare sulla superficie, nasce durante la luna nuova e il ciclo della sua vita e della sua morte si accorda con le fasi lunari. Si crede che la sua testa doni il potere delleterna giovinezza.
Ispirata alla Principessa Mononoke di Hayao Miyazaki, la performance culmina nel momento tragico dello scontro di potere tra le forze della natura e lintervento umano per possederla e domarla. La catarsi avviene con la morte e la rinascita dello spirito della foresta, con lui la natura e gli umani rifioriscono in un mondo nuovo, annunciato dal canto degli uccelli che tornano.

il mondo minerale , il mondo vegetale, il mondo animale e umano, e il mondo sottile degli spiriti e degli dei esistono luno mediante laltro, luno per laltro. Non può esserci un vero approccio al divino, una ricerca del divino, una scienza, una religione, una mistica che non tenga conto di questa unità fondamentale del creato

La performance è stata presentata nel 2009 alla Kultur Marathon per il decennale del Festival di Rosenhof a Tegernau (D), collocata in due ambientazioni: in teatro e nella foresta nera.

In Japanese culture Shishi Gami is the spirit of the forest, a universal symbol that represents the forces of nature, the woods and the animals in their mythical dimension before human intervention modified their equilibrium with nature. It has similarities to the myth of Dionysus, to that of the Celtic Kernunnos, the man with deer antlers who lives in the forest, and to that of the Indian Pashupati, the lord of the animals.
Shishi Gami is the Supreme Being that has power over the life and death of all creatures that live in the forest. With every step, wherever his feet touch the earth, plants and flowers bloom and immediately die. He has the power to take life and to give life. When he crosses water, he has the power to walk upon its surface. He is born with the new moon and the cycle of his life and death follows the lunar phases. It is believed that his head gives the power of eternal youth.
Inspired by Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki, the performance culminates in the moment of the tragic clash of power between the forces of nature and mans intervention to possess and dominate them. The catharsis occurs with the death and rebirth of the spirit of the forest. With it, nature and man flourish again in a new world, announced by the song of the returning birds.

The mineral world, the plant world, the animal and human world and the subtle world of the spirits and of the gods each exist because of one another and for one another. There can be no true approach of the divine, no seeking of the divine, no science, no religion, no mysticism that does not take this fundamental unit of creation into consideration.

The performance was presented in 2009 at the Kultur Marathon for the tenth edition of the Festival of Rosenhof at Tegernau (D), located in two settings: in a theatre and in the Black Forest.
