When a person stops & thinks about it carefully, math is awesome. Especially arithmetic. I mean.......think about it, everybody. The facts don't change, and the methods used to arrive at those facts don't change. Not really. 5,000, 10,000, 40,000 years from now, kids will still be learning and then using this same methodology to get their answers to arithmetical questions set in front of them.

@titations973233 Interesting. I think the math minds of today forget the simplicity of yesterday. That's why I was so lost in school especially when it comes to math. I use rod and staff because its very simple and laid out without all the info that kids don't need. I used her math and my kids found it kinda confusing but once you understand "her method" it makes a little more sense...

@brettwinstead When everything electronic is fried by an emp blast from nuclear apocalypse, and you have to divide x amount of broken calculators by x number of minutes wasted thinking this was going to work without knowing your long division!

Its a teacher hahaha never seen a teacher on youtube

Math is EASY......All you have to do is to memorize the formula.....then follow the simple rule on dividing, adding, subtracting even multiplying....
there is a VERY big problem with this....dont teach kids to divide first using an algorithm. Children need to learn with base 10 blocks first to see groups. Schools are now moving away from "how" to solve - instead, we are focusing on "why"

@titations973233 I agree that both the "why" and "how" are needful... this video is concentrating on the "how".
