  • I got chills after watching this even though I already knew all of it. The way they presented it was very well done.

  • Does anyone know who did the music at this point in the video? 6:12 That sounds beautiful! This show is great, they present science in the way it should be. By showing everyone how truly amazing it is.

  • Its amazing how we are just living our life which seems so insignificant when compared to the vast mysteries of the cosmos. Yet it is these mysteries which makes us realise how lucky we are to LIVE our one life and the things we do. This certainly puts things into perspective our daily life, our relationships, our work and things we feel.

  • An enthralling episode! Thank you

  • I really enjoyed watching this... thanks!!! :-)

  • @villontre - Thnx, but no joy. The device in the show is an imaginary cgi prop used to demonstrate how things have not aligned with written history now and why.

  • @vinha1006 Could it be the " Antikythera Mechanism " It is thought to have been built about 150-100 BCE. Also try a PBS show called " Triumph of the nerds a history of the computer.

  • I am looking for a show that aired on PBS about a decade ago. It had to do with synchronizing the events that had shaped the world and history. It has as a prop a very large set of wheels/cogs/gears representing events and involved getting them in proper alignment by more accurate dating, etc. Anyone have any idea what this show was?

  • How many times has life sprung up and been extinguished in remote galaxies? If our own civilization ended in 100 years, who in the universe would know we ever existed at all? How many times has this happened? Each civilization would be unaware of the other and all might think they might be the only life out there. The distances from star to star (interstellar) in our milky way are enormous, let alone interGALACTIC distances.

It seems all life is doomed to never know of any other.
