Hi cat, I had forgotten about this song. I guess I had because it did have that sense of loneliness and sadness. It brought tears to my eyes listening to the words and missing my husband so terribly that it hurts. Great job on the video.

i bet john would smile, say something comforting about the present state of the world...the guy seemed to have a sense of balance, kept his eye on what's most important...family, making the most of the present, looking forward to tomorrow, regardless of the tons of negative influences out in the world these days...

My deepest sympathies for your loss. John Denver's version is (if I may dare say the following: better than the original). Ive been a fan of Neil Young's music for the past 30 yrs...check out "Cortez the Killer" - remember what you had with your husband - the little special things.. that you got used to every day. It sounds like Neil didnt have this half as good as you did. Sounds like you & your husband lived life...many people are playing catch-up.

Have never heard John do this song. Very good. The video looks like the area where his plane unfortunately crashed. Yes/No???
