VARY RARE MATCH. Took Place on April 23, 1984 in Madison Square Gardens. Story told by JJ Dillon is though he was once a wrestler way back, he regrets never having wrestled in MSG. Dillon eventually became more known in National Wrestling Alliance as the formatter/manager of the Four Horsemen.
JJ Dillon said that Eddie Graham called Vince McMahon Sr. and arranged this one time match for him to fulfill his dream of wrestling in MSG. Oh and that was a very fast count by that ref!

How did Dillon get a title shot? I thought he was a jobber.

How quick was that count?

This was an interesting match. I had never seen J.J. wrestle in any federation, but I had merely heard that he used to wrestle. Except for a few brief moments, he got his clock cleaned by Mr. Santana.

Never knew JJ Wrestled in the WWF & in 84 no less. JJ was a Manager/Wrestler in Florida & musta had a cup of coffee in New York because He was working for Crocket by the Summer of 84 Managing Ron Bass & Black Bart

I heard Dillon was supposed to whip Chico and win the belt here, but Hogan ordered McMahon to squash it and stop JJMania before it got off the ground. And I love Patterson referring to JJ as "well conditioned"--you could've shown a movie on that ass of his

So, when did JJ go to Crockett? I thought he was in Charllote in 1984.
