Bono is a dick. Everything he says is horseshit

@yawnhockel Ummm... maybe because not every single song Bono writes is specifically and exclusively about Jesus Christ. honestly use your common sense and stop reading into every little thing.

Bono's best quote in my opinion is "Religion is what happend when God left the room" I agree whole heartedly. Religion is an absolute farce and is the cause of so much conflict, hate, discrimination, intolerance and biggotry in this world. Spirituality and faith is a competely different thing. I wouldn't say I'm a Christian neccesarily but I know for a fact I lead a much more Christian lifestyle than many who claim to be one. I enjoy listening to open minded people like Bono on this topic.

May I ask why Bono's lyrics to Sometimes You can't Make it on Your Own were so blatantly taken out of context? Those are not Bono's thoughts on christianity, those lyrics are specifically written about his relationship with his dad. I enjoyed the video and enjoyed reading Bono's quotes but blatantly taking lyrics and using them in a way that was not intended is not cool. Stuff like that bugs me.

Bono is great - He expresses my take on life precisely. And I, too, have absolutely nothing to do with 'religion', just as Jesus refused to align himself with the Pharisees. It's all about Jesus and responding to his words ... "when you do it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you are doing it to me".

OMG this brings tears to me eyes !

@breda83 Who isn't a hypocrite? That's why we need the saving blood of Jesus Christ to wash away our sins!

I think coming from Ireland and growing up in the 80s during the Northern Ireland troubles probably contributed to him being anti-religion. His father was a Catholic and his mother a Protestant. Because he is not pro religion does not mean he is not a committed Christian.
