    the ones that really get me are the ones which blatantly questions you state, it proves they don't know anything about you or your depression.

    -You don't seem depressed?

    -[after a few days] Are you still depressed?

    -Are you sure you are depressed?

    and above all

    -Why don't you try not being depressed?

    I know my life is by no means bad, I just don't produce enough seretonin and it makes me feel crappy... jeez.

  • a therapist told me a study was done which showed that pessimists tend to be more realistic than optimists. In other words: reality does pretty much suck, and to be 'happy' requires delusion.

  • I often got the "just be happy" response. Umm...ok. Just point me in the direction of never neverland.
