We took the 4.6L Fairmont out for a little test drive. This thing sounds wicked and launches like crazy. The exhaust setup includes a set of MAC long tube headers, a modified BBK x-pipe, and Jones mufflers coupled with a set of Pipes flow tubes.

For a full detailed write up with build specs and hundreds of pics check out our our blog series on this car.

  • what gears do have in it

  • @mason3571000 we ran 4.30 gears in the Fairmont.

  • im planning on doing the same to my mustang. how hard was it to get the computer and everything to fit

  • @riderthewake02 Awesome! I added a link to the full build up in the description.

  • I'm thinking of doing the swap on a fully custom two door crown Victoria 80-87 model years, I read the 5 pages on this car and now I think that its doable;) I plan to use a frame from a 2004 interceptor since it will allow more room for header clearance as well as updated suspension.

Thank you for sharing this build with us all, great job!

  • No problem, thanks for sharing!

  • Such a sad video. Fairmont is one ugly car with nothing about it that is memorable or attractive in anyway. It's a box. Horrible handling. Such a waste. Only in Texas....you guys have been around beaners too long.

  • The Fairmont is a great sleeper car, especially if you keep it looking semi-stock. With a little work, you could really surprise a few Mustang or Chevy guys with a car similar to the one in this video.

My 1st car was a slow and rusty 1982 2 door Fairmont sedan that refused to die. The 3.3L straight 6 engine is a real work horse.

  • fuck this car!!!!! esta chingoonsoteeee

  • That is Awsome Man!!

  • That exhaust note is sick! What exhaust setup is it running?

  • My grandpa had one of these brand new. Same light blue exterior with light blue interior. Always wanted to do a build up like this. Car is stupid simple but the sleeper appeal is just awesome! Kind of car that pisses guys off when their staring at the tail lights after getting smoked makes me all giddy like a school girl on the playground at recess! Nice work guys, I love it!!

  • @latemodelrestoration im gonna have to talk to you about some issues when they come up. I saw the guide and it is insanely detailed. Going to use it for sure. defiantly wouldnt want to get my ass kicked by you fairmont
