  • i was taught muay thai fighters learn to use their lower shins for the location of contact , not the foot . that's karate isnt it ? 00:31

  • @sylontuk That's true, the shin is a primary weapon in Muay Thai. The foot is also used in a number of techniques...the Teep or push-kick is probably the most common...Muay Thai is not the only Martial Art style to use the shin and foot though, Kyokushin Karate for example uses the shin to devastating effect also

  • Any more good sports documentaries like this one?

  • It helps you when they are punching your face ... Makes your neck and back stronger

  • @sylontuk They do use the Lower shin primarily, but a Muay Thai kick, Called the Rainbow Kick, uses the foot and can do some great damage to the face. The shin kick isnt commonly used in the face but on the body.

  • That was the worst fight commentator ever!

  • Much respect for muaythai!

  • white guy spokesman had no idea of what he talked about...

  • 6:00 lol these guys are quick as shit

  • In Thai culture the lowest part of a person (the foot) must never be near the highest point of a person (the head) a foot in the face is a major sign of disrespect. This is also why you never put your feet up on tables in Thailand :)
