cause fry does have a tragic story to the character. He was taken before his time. On purpose by leela's pet. 1000 years to the future where all that he knew is gone and he'll never see them again and being a stranger in a whole new world. :(

Why is it all the episodes that have a focus on Fry have amazing emotional depth? Because Fry is a character that is a blessing to the world of animation.
