2011 Cosplays

hey everyone and happy 2012!!
last year for me has been one with of course its ups and downs and I've gotta say for cosplaying, theres been lots of both:33

i went to quite a few conventions last year including a few small ones that i couldn't include in the video since there just wasn't any pictures
but starting the year, i went to Megacon 2011 for a saturday in i think either late feb or early march as Cantarella Miku. This costume is near and dear to my heart since its the first where i made everything from head to toe for the costume and i think it turned out pretty well
then in august, of course, i went to my home convention, AFO 2011 for all 3 days, i went as a casual ciel phantomhive, cantarella miku, and lastly dark woods circus miku. for this convention, other than that its my home convention and just special, it was also the first con where i entered a costume contest. I didn't place but the experience was sooo amazing and i entered my dark woods circus miku. From the experience, i really learned a lot on how to improve myself and also about how much i love cosplaying, so i know i'll probably be doing contests for as many times as i can now:DD. Everything for dark woods circus was handmade including the dress, cage, the visor thing, and all the accessories. The designs were all hand painted and i really appreciate anyone who was gracious enough to take my picture. (loves to all of you:33)
in september, i went to FAE 2011 which was a really crappy convention I'm sorry to say but it was also memorable since i got to go and hang with friends and also make lots of new friends. i went on saturday as nepeta from homestuck and this costume was a first for me in that i got to paint my body and other ppl's body gray..such a fabulous color
there wasn't too many conventions from late september to november since there was school, but i didn't slack off too much since during that time, i had a JBF photoshoot at school and also i made halloween sakura from TRC for halloween:p for the sakura, I'm happy my school's anime club liked it since they voted it for best costume. In november, i also made a simple luka magnet costume which i wore to my friends bday at Raicon 2011 and won their costume contest.
In december, i went to holiday matsuri 2011 for 2 days, sat and sun. I went as halloween sakura and fai d fluorite from TRC. we had lovely photoshoots and i entered my fai into the costume contest. the staff and coat were entirely handmade and the designs were of course based off the art book versions as well as personalized. Fai won best prop which I'm really happy about:33

so this year has been lots of fun and lots of work for my costuming. I'm working on getting better and so far for 2012, the conventions that i'll definitely be going to are Megacon 2012, AFO 2012 (sad that they now have to switch locations), and Holiday Matsuri 2012.
the costumes are a secret for now and of course can be changed and i can say definitely that i'll be starting skit and cmv writing and filming
