Early Quake III Arena footage from Crash|Landing, taken around January 1999. Pentium III launch stuff.

Notable things:
- omg spinning pentagram glowy floor!
- particle system (Quake-style teleport effect from entering the portal, railgun trail with actual particle corkscrew like Quake2's)
- Shotgun is different on skin, has red glows on it
- Jumppads are just pulsating circles
- IT'S DUE OUT IN MARCH '99 LOL

This is better than the Quake III Arena now! How is it worse? I mean instead of the bouring old Red Pentagram in Quake III Arena these days in this version theirs a Spinning Pentagram, Quake 2 Rail-Effects, better Visor model, Green Fog, different Teleporter looks, different Teleport effect, Grim Dungeons is better, Temple of Retribution & the Shotgun's better! Even you said it was better in the Description!

I never said it was better. What Q3 had before was unoptimal, and deserved nixing because it hampered performance, which is why rockets only emit one big particle instead of many little ones, as well as the railgun simplified to a beam with a series of (later patched out) discs.

And that pentagram is too damn distracting.

you're right. Now that I look at it this isn't the IHV leak. We didn't get this map until the game came out. Good catch. I was wrong.

This is not from Q3test. This is not even the (very similar) illegal IHV leak. This video is a version before either and was not publicly unveiled officially, or even leaked.
