Big Horse Rears With Small Girl! READ DESCRIPTION!!

Okay, I know what i did wrong. And also the horse is my no means a pattern horse. But here is the story on why i looked TERRIBLE with my riding.NO I DIDNT ASK HIM TO DO THAT! NO HIS TEETH WE NOT HURTING! WHEN HE IS MADE HE DOES THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was riding aqha style riding and this was a hunter jumper judge. Me and my mom had no clue about hunter riding. I had the most beautilful run in the flat class. ( aqha style) and the judge didnt use me. Me and my mom was sooo mad. It was the best ride chip ever did! We were looking around and saw that all the girls that won were not pulling there horses in. and were riding with more of a looser but yet direct contact with the horse. The horses heads were not it, the were not collected as much. And there nose was stick up in the air. So mama told me, just loosen the reins and give him his head. So I did not having a clue what i was doing.lol.
But chip rides totally different now. Look at my most recent video of him jumping 2'6". After seeing the hunter style riding, i wanted to do it! So we just had 4-h state again, and this year, I made the call back and the judge said i had the flat class and working hunter won but he missed his lead for two steps in the hus class and knocked over a jump in working hunter. But anyways, he has improved greatly! :)

@StarHorseLover1 ubt hitting it on te butt means reaching back! if you tap them on the head (lightly) they just get confussed and think the skys like falling on them;) therefore, they assume it happens all the time- stopping...

@missimmababe She never blamed the horse, and she probably knows she needs more contact. She said she usually rides him with more contact. She changed because they were at a hunter show and she was trying to ride more like the others. Maybe she shouldn't have changed her riding style that quickly, but it's a show. She was probably nervous.

@jodzandhat if u tap a horse near the head chances are they will get head shy. tapping on the butt works best i think

@jessicalana91 There are other methods then a crop. I said not to beat the horse horse with it. A few taps is ok, but whaking the horse repediatly is uncalled for. You can also give him a few nudges in the side. The girl should also be more firm, I agree with you on that.

When he reared she just let him stand there. That is unintentionally rewarding him for rearing. He's trying to get out of work. This girl is gonna lose her confidence. The trainer needs to get on that horse and use a crop and make it listen. Or teach the girl to be firm.

@StarHorseLover1 1. hows a crop on the butt helpng? it inflicts worser things. i had a constent rearer and i can gaurentee you, buckings ALOT more dangerous!!!! and a crop genererally a tap between teh ears, makes them stop.
