So we got giant space ships, huge amounts of clone armies, a giant ball that shoots a lazer that can instantly destroy planets, an amassment of vehicles that are beast in all situations, and three ridiculously powerful wielders of a magic so evil that bends matter itself.
VS.
A large army of Orcs, Trolls, and Dragons with a number of magic wielders who all meet very, VERY easy deaths. Sure, you need to destroy the ring to destroy Sauron. But i'm pretty sure that a galactic army is enough.

Err if we are using the original sith here or the highest ranking sith around next to lotr then we can bring in gorgmoth who was the first darklord and who sauron's master is... This guy attacked the gods themselves with armies of dragons, Balrogs and other stuff...

Isn't really a fair fight is it? Palpatine would just order a star destroyer to orbital strike that tower with the eye. Game Over.
