Hey there in Brazil! I've got some relatives in Argentina... We spent some time at Iguazu and Rio. Man, those places are so intense! But yeah, that's funny, this was actually the first song I learned when I dropped the pick around the late 90s. Perhaps one day you can make a split video with mine, adding the lead track?

They say it's easier to play. Also, I think there's harmonic reasons behind the design (different scale lengths for each string?), but it's been like 5 years since I read that website, so I forget. I do remember reading bad stuff in accordance to harmonics and my short scale.

Wow! That Novax Fanned Fret System is cool looking. Have you played one? I wonder if it is more difficult to play, and what the advantage of a fanned fret system would be. -Derek

I think there was some sort of Tacoma Thunderhawk Baritone guitar that might have given me the specs I wanted to try out when capoed on the 4th fret, but I couldn't find one to try out and the dealer wanted me to put $120 down just to try it, so I got this cheap Yamaha CS40. Man, I'd still like to see that Baritone. Oh yeah, have you heard of the Novax Fanned Fret System? I'd have to get one of those built without trying it first, but it might be worth it.

Woooh, I hadn't thought of that, although, I think I still might want the 1 7/8" neck at nut I have here... Yeah, this Yamaha CS40 was the only 7/8th scale I could find. I also wouldn't want anything smaller than 1 3/4". The CS40 has a 22 15/16" scale length. I know, that's small, but I like it even though it can get a little tight up high.

All the specs make a huge difference. Keep in mind the strings on a steelstring guitar are much more narrow. So, you can get by without the neck being as wide. What is the width of your neck at the nut? I can't play anything less than a 1 3/4 inch neck width at the nut on a steelstring, and prefer something slightly wider. Where did you find a 7/8 scale classical?!?!?!? -Derek

Thank you! Yeah, I can't play right handed. It makes finding a guitar to play quite the pain. Actually, it's even more of a pain now that I'm loving this 7/8th scale classical. I think I'd like a steel string and electric built to these specs, although, with a slight arch (radius) on the fingerboard (not quite flat like this classical I'm playing).
