A collection of video clips from the 2009 Hardrock 100 Endurance Foot Race. The course beings in Silverton, CO, and runs couterclockwise - over a 14000 ft. mountain, to Ouray, Telluride, Ophir, and back to SIlverton. 33000 ft. of climbing and descending, average elevation approx. 11 500 ft. Winner was Karl Meltzer, of Utah. This was his fifth win -- his winning time was 24 1/2 hrs.
This race is perhaps the most difficult of the 100 mile running races in the USA, if not the world.
Meltzer is BEAST !!!

I have been running for years; The longest run I've done is a 50K; I have true admiration and am inspired in light of videos just like this.
