First off- Thank you Gary for having me. I was a little nervous, and under the weather at this shoot.

While I'm not an IT expert (I'm an AV integrator), and I apologize to any viewers that feel I misinformed them, or simply didn't use the correct terminology.

    Thank you

Really what the main problem is in coffee shops with wifi, is that people have data shared on their LAN at home and then don't realize that same data is shared when they connect to other LANs. Particularly Windows Shares aka SAMBA.

With personal routers, just use a WPA2 password on the router and you are fine. On public networks, make sure you are not sharing anything and use a decent Windows password for all admin accounts and disable the guest account on the machine.

People's shit going bad in a hurricane? I lived in NC, been though 2 hurricanes. Each time a hurricane was coming in, unplugged everything. Computers, A/V, TV's, just lights were left in. Then when power went out, everything was safe. Anyone who leaves their stuff plugged in, and it goes bad from a storm, that's your own damn fault. Read a book while technology takes a break.

Why is Gary talking to an AV installer guy about computer network security? Why only briefly discuss how to deal with insurance claims re: technology?

This would have been better if Gary just explained what he did; what worked, what did not. From the perspective of someone that had lived through this. This AV guy was a poor choice for a guest. Not a good episode.

Am I way off here? Hopefully the crew is learning from the "mistakes".

Much better than I expected due to the criticism you received from Howard on Sirius/XM .. He really loves to break your balls doesn't he?? Looking forward to future episodes so I subscribed to you here on YouTube. Keep up the good work!
