They Kept Killing Off Tomokazu Seki's Character in this Anime. I have seen My Fair Share of Sad Anime Deaths and These Two Deaths are some Tear Jerkers. I Love This Anime. Cheers Gai This Drinks For You. RIP My Dear Friend.

Whoever says Kamina is the best character ever has obviously never seen Gai Daigoji. He brought in more awesome in 1/3 the time.

All of us would like to have an opportunity to pilot Valkyries, Gundans, etc, in epic battles of the good against the badly. Gai was a anime fan and he had his dream of being a pilot of mechas done reality in Nadesico. It was easy to like of him because we recognized ourselves in his enthusiasm. His death was traumatic for Akito because, Gai always encouraged him and it was a somebody that elevated the friends' morals. It is sad that he has not had more time to take advantage that moment.

An awesome character, who's death left behind one of the most heartfelt goodbyes I've ever seen in an anime. I raise a glass to my homey.
