Castlevania 4 Arrival Theme - Fields Before the Forest Remix

This is a remix of the intro stage of Castlevania 4. The original music plays when you first take control of Simon Belmont just outside the castle gates. There are no enemies, only candles to whip at. It's a very short stage and the song is short and very ambient, therefore this remix is short and ambient with a very light, earthy feel to it. This is my example of less being more in a musical piece. I'm a huge fan of ambient music, and I'm really pleased how quick and simple it was to get just the right sound I wanted. The title "Fields Before the Forest" comes from the english translation of Transylvania, meaning "the land beyond the forest." I originally wrote this piece as an ambient piece for a Castlevania module I was working on for Neverwinter Nights (it's a work in progress). I'd love to do more Castlevania remixes in the future. They're some of the most well written and recognizable soundtracks in gaming.
