Snuba is the new sport that combines the technology of scuba with the freedom of snorkel. A raft carries your tank on the surface and follows your every move while you breathe naturally through a regulator. Enjoy it at Xel-Há!
Xel-Há is the only place in the world where you can Snuba in a cenote. Visit underwater caves and admire lush aquatic vegetation. You do not need to have any previous diving experience.
Maximum depth: 19 feet .
Schedules: from 10:30 am to 3:15 pm (every hour).
Duration: 1 hour (10 min. instructions/ 10 min. practice on dock/ 40 min. time in water).
Minimum age: 8 years old (important to know how to swim).

We will like to mention that all of our guides are certified at a dive rescue level and they are certified as lifeguards to ensure more security to our visitors . Also, participants can go without any problems to the surface because the depth for this activity is 5 meters. Furthermore, the guide gives a demonstration of how to support with their own equipment to make a quick ascent and he will regularly review the compressed air.

Nice vid but SNUBA is not for untrained divers in a Cenote or cave. If the regulator fails is anyone in the group trained to buddy breathe ? Are you close enough to the surface to do a free ascent ? Are you carrying spare air ? Was everyone trained to handle a brown out ? Check out trained cave divers. They carry extra lights, double tanks, and double regulators.
