I was just listening to a "Who" bootleg from 1976...I wish they had this shit back then, recording every show 32 tracks...wrong band, wrong time period...too bad.
you can "tweak" all you want without the band there, but my guess is that there has to be something coming out of the amps, and that's going to do something with the overall mix when they are live...I'm sure it helps to some extent. I like the concept, but I'm curious/skeptical about the difference between mixing a recording and mixing the live performance....I'm definitely skeptical about the band's music..ok, I'm not skeptical, I am definitive...pretty boring.
