  • Just magic....

  • I think I first heard this song from Peter Paul & Mary ... truly beautiful.

Cheryl's voice is always so soothing.

  • Cheryl played this at the Cafe Carpe in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin, 1994 95. It is a grand salute to our farmer forbears who saw the change from rural to urban in the forst half of the last century. A remarkably powerful song.

  • B E A U T I F U L ! Makes me cry each time I hear - bitter-sweet tears with memories both good and bad! Her voice gives me chills - I'm an alto and can't hit the high notes, but I like to sing it anyway.

  • I love this song.

  • MY FAVORITE CHERYL SONG! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this!

  • I love her voice not to mention her music and especially this song

  • First time I heard her sing it: exactly 9 years ago, right there in Columbus Ohio. I was back home for my fatjhers 75th birthday. I cried my eyes out.

    Hi Flor.

  • The first time I saw Cheryl Wheeler play this song was at the Cafe Carpe in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin. Quite simply it brought tears to my eyes, change a few words and it captured the essence of my grandfather and my father, thank you Cheryl; thank you marcm1210!
