Probably someone with an R.C. operating in the area and it overtook the computer controls. The airline should have checked with the other flags being used in the area. Dang frequency mix-ups. Check with the tech inspect.

It's a good thing they mentioned that it was "frightening" otherwise I would have assumed it was another one of those comforting runway overshoots.

If someone parks his car and the car ends up into three separate pieces, I guess no one will say he is an amazing driver. Good that no one got killed, but that kinda ruins your holiday, right?
