Techno City 1993 - Part 1 (with English subtitles)

A documentary about the original techno movement in Berlin. This video is also of great value for non-German viewers. Just listen to the oldschool style. But what is more important than the music: the spirit! Look how people were enthusiastic about this new kind of music and compare it to the present situation. I hope you understand my point of view.

Ich habe eine Dokumentation über Techno aus dem Jahr 1993 gefunden. Neben zahlreichen Informationen über die Musik, wird auch der "Geist" der Szene bzw die Einstellung, welche die Leute damals hatten, sehr schön eingefangen. Was ist aus dieser Subkultur geworden? Warum wird heute kaum noch Wert auf die Qualität der Musik in den Clubs gelegt?

damals war die musik eben noch etwas ganz neues und nich kommerziell ausgenutzt ...

das hat vor allem die ganze athmosphäre kaputt gemacht

dieses billige lieblos hingeklatschte groove coverage, scooter etc. zeugs außer dem man im tv und radio absolut nichts elektronisches mehr hört ...

ich weiß das ist kein techno aber für jemand der keine ahnung hat ist alles mit nem elektronischen 4/4 takt "techno" und alles was er kennt ist eben das kommerz zeug ... traurige sache
