The "BMW HP Kunst" is an hydrogen motorbike concept which represents the ecological vision of the future motorbikes. It really acts as a technological showcase with all the apparent hydrogen technologies. This is an exclusive model which is positioned in the HP range of BMW Motorrad, it combines the player temperament of the supermotard and the sportivity of a roadster. In terms of style, the whole spirit of BMW Motorrad is transcribed with dynamic and sculpted lines, an apparent technicality and a work of asymmetry on the entire motorbike.

Technic :
- Aluminium frame, tubular parts in steel and carbon parts
- Brushless engine 100kw
- Fuel cell
- Cryogenic hydrogen tank (capacity 20L)
- Battery Li-Po
- Electronical brakes and controls
- Electromagnetic suspensions

This concept is realized by 4 designers students at the ISD of Valenciennes (France) :
- Arik Schwarz (Designer, 4th year)
- Benoît Czyz (Designer, 4th year)
- Charles Edouard Berche (Designer, 3rd year)
- Vincent Montreuil (Designer, 3rd year) http://vincdesign.deviantart.com/

  • Why the name KUNST? In danish it means "art".

A really cool 3D model and the design is awesome! Good luck with the concept.

  • Because for us the upper part is like a sculpture with subtle refletions.

That's a sort of piece of art !

  • I'd rather have mechanical brakes. A microchip won't save me.

  • I see this motor in GTA TBOGT!

  • Its a beautiful bike I really like it a lot.

But when it comes to H, I did an experiment and managed to burn water at home with a very large 100ah battery the flame was 5mm tall a continuous flame, not enough to propel my electric bicycle which ran on two 7a/h batteries directly to a DC motor = 8km range

H can be used but the same amount of electricity going directly into a motor is going to yield more more motive force than breaking down water, H can be used for storage but its expensive to make

  • Mmmmm. Hydrogen.

  • real nice, looks a bit like my last creation... neat!

  • Captain Kirk's ride :D

  • ill take 20

  • @TheRealHero1 My guess would be Solidworks 2010

  • Kunst???

  • The idea and concept can be exciting, but what is truly exciting is what is in production now. Check out some "real" machines at NewMotoTech com.
