  • Two sides to this, one is powering corporate devices using alternative sources of energy in the objective of communications infrastructures deployed cheaply and rapidly. Another is providng energy in remote rural areas which in turn is monitored wirelessly. Cellphones are fun when you have money to pay for a rate plan, how does this help Mbuko if he only collects wheats? He needs electricity and clean water over "Vodacom", no offense, but yeah there's nothing new or extraordinary about it.

  • Good stuff ... what other equipment IS being run off of this supply?

  • good job, wish some other operators have the same mentality.

it would save a lot and be environmental friendly at the same time.....

  • No rectifier, only a voltage regulator and a charging circuit for the battries. Nothing special about what Motorola is doing. I was installing similar systems in Tanzania in 2003 already for a GSM company called Vodacom

  • In the video no mention is made of the equipments that are powered by the energy generated by the wind turbine and the solar panel. Are there rectifier and air conditioners?
