Yep! There was nowhere near 688 hp in that T/A. There was no supercharger or turbos on it. No lopey idle(no awesome camshaft). The only thing it could have is Nitrous. I LOVE the car and Im a Corvette Guy(C5 w/427), but i just don t see why they said 688hp....

I'm not sold that there is 688 whp or even at the crank. If she had 688 at the crank, it'd be around 580 at the wheels which is still a hefty amount. Any Trans Am I've heard at WOT with that much power is either blown, turbo'd, or if it's still N/A, the mods needed to make that power make it SCREAM under WOT. Didn't hear a turbo, or supercharger, so N/A seems right. That car definitely wasn't screamin.

Still, they won the show, so props to them.

I like Trans Ams. Good team on the show. Good lookin gal who likes cars... cool.

I wonder a few things, though. First off, was that a missed shift (on top of the slow shifting) in the very beginning?

And I wanna know if she means 688hp to the wheels, or an estimated crank amount? Some people, for example, install a K&N filter... on the box it says somethin like "gains of 15hp", so they'll take the stock (crank) power, and add 15... voila, that's their way of coming up with the power made.

i have the same transmission they came on the trans ams so how is it a disgrace...she constantly blew the trans cuz of they way she drove the car "hard" not cuz the transmission is a pos that broke down cuz the car was a DD
