  • What a great musician he was. Overlooked by the USrecord labels. He deserved to be on the Blue Note, Riverside or Prestige labels. I remember him being known only as a baritone player. I never knew he was such a great flautist. Maybe because he moved to Europe he was overlooked in the U.S.A. Maybe that's why he went to Europe. The Europeans & esp the Japanese are greater connoisseurs of good jazz than the Americans. They appreciate good jazz more than the Americans. Thanks a mil for sharing.
