Slideshow of the 2008 Migrant Scholars Leadership Institute (MSLI) hosted by SABEResPODER.
MSLI is a month-long program that offers 100 high school students the opportunity to participate in a rigorous academic program designed to build a set of skills and knowledge that are the foundation of academic success and strong leadership. For one month students live on-campus at a UC and are enrolled in a university-level course. In addition, students participate in a variety of workshops related to the development of leadership skills, academics, and a number of sessions related to the university application process. The workshop series provides a unique opportunity for students to meet influential academic, political, and community leaders.
MSLI is the result of several communities committed to increasing opportunities for migrant communities. This is a cooperative effort between SABEResPODER and the California Migrant Education Program.
