  • BTW, I do know the heritage of that M3 and it is indeed from the former D&RGW. It was liberated from a D&RGW GP30 headed to the scrap heap many moons ago.

  • Its really funny how there is only 1 comment on this video that's not about the horn, hehe. Nice video.

  • Gidday from downunder Australia

Crikey that's a bloody awesome video mate, thanks for sharing.

  • Wow those M3's are some of the best I've heard in a while. Yes K5LA's are nice but like they said above, Too Common. Although I'm going to buy one its only because its a early one. 5 Stars! Great Vid!

  • LOVE the M-3! K-5LA's are too common... 00:27 was the best.

  • M-3's RULE!!!!

  • In my opinion, I think since those are true Amtrak F40's they should keep their K5LAs

  • marfarnz, That may be the RG used to do things, and you are partly right. They keep the M-3 mounted alot of the time, but, occasionally the care-taker of the 'Horns' mounts some of his other horns as well.

  • The Ski Train oppreators wanted to keep it like the way Rio Grande did it, and since the Grande used M3's, that's what they put on the F40's when they picked them up from Amtrak.

    Pardon my spelling.

  • An M3 on an F40?! That's rare.
