It's a total fantasy concept because as you and I would all like to imagine a world of this matter, even just a u.s. in this manor,it's never going to happen because you will never in anyones lifetime get the wealth holders to ever succomb to these ideas because they could never part with their money,.so dream on.

@younisin --Yup Star Trek Fanciful fantasy. When theres warp drive engine, anti-gravity, food replicaters let me know. As it stand the Techno doesn't exist. Why are we buying oil from brazil and not drilling at home here in us. Solar is impracticle and not perfected. When you got the anti-gravity belts, chairs, shoes I will agree now where is the geo thermo powered cars? But I do wish you good luck.

Communism is political system in a money based economy context, which is absolutely nothing what is being presented here.
-
"this seems like communism" to you because you don't know better... That's pretty much all you know. This is nothing like any political ideology. This is not a political ideology.
-
We have a time based economy right now. We might end up having to go back to a result bases economy.

lol @ the people that don't want to live better lives.

@zleverette What do you mean exactly? Your statements seem to imply that such a relation is inherently bad. So what characteristics of this project do you see as communist/socialist. Bear in mind communism and socialism are not one in the same. This seems to be a common misconception flying around the uneducated tiers of America. Or is this simply fear for fear's sake?
-
@SquidofPeril yes, certain parts of it appeal to me like the wise use of resources and the advances in technology, but the other parts are close to if not socialism/communism
Well said ! Science, logical reasoning and protection of our planet is the only sane way forward !!

The only anti-christian thing I see in the Venus Project, is their interest on people becoming atheists, but if they compare their objectives with the teachings of Jesus, they are precisely the same. They'd be smarter to use that similarity, and practice the unity they preach. By bashing on Christianity they sound just as divisive as the very religions they rightfully critizice. Anyway, as a Christian. I support them. Organized religion sucks, they are man made. Jesus attacked religion.
