@Dr2Moriarty ...most likely Vandal Savage forbade his subordinates to speak his presuccessor's name and when Savage took over, being the egomaniac he is, replaced the Nazi symbol designed by Hitler with his own symbol...a stylized "S" referring to himself; Savage.

@tiganfascist ..that depends on which version of Superman is being used. In the DC Animated Universe series this version has limits based on the Byrne 1986 re-boot. The limits were needed so he would not over-shadow every other DC character and make them all look like weak helpless sidekicks. Also every version had self-imposed limitations so he would not be like a bull in a china shop. As most villains are not in his power level he could easily kill or destroy free of restraint
