PART 1 by Tim Sly - Fair grounds grand stand and parking lot of El Tequila Restaurant. What a shame, the restaurant just opened and had great authentic Mexican food.

  • Excuse me,my name is Eason. My brother went to the University of MInnesota on Thursday.Because of the tornado,me&my families r worried about him.Can u tell me where did the tornado hit?Was it near the university? Please tell me,thank u.

  • @TheTaiwanEason

Wadena is 150 miles from the Twin Cities where the university of Minnesota is located. I did not hear that the Cities were hit by tornados but a lot of other places in Minnesota and the Dakotas were hit.

  • Understandably, I'm very upset about the devastation that has occurred in this community. My whole family is from Wadena and I'm sad for everyone who lost their homes. I'm praying for everyone in the community. On a lighter note, I am absolutely amazed at the clarity of this video! what kind of camera was this filmed with?

  • @wollschlager5,

Actually it is a Vado 4 GB portable video camera that fits in your pocket. It hold 2 hours of high def 720P video and its software plays the videos and lets you easily upload to YouTube from within the software. Check Amazon, Creative Labs or Dell.com for Vado video cameras. You can catch a deal on them between $70 - $120. I am very impressed with this little camera.

  • Damn the power of an EF4 is UNDENIABLE!!!!

  • The Parkersburg tornado was just as strong as the Greensburg tornado. This damage in Wadena looks like possible upper-end EF4 or EF5. Also there is no low-end EF5. An EF5 is an EF5 if it has 201 mph winds or 350 mph winds and also does EF5 level damage. The damage is the most looked at when determining its rating.

  • GREAT video.. thank you for posting it! I'm from Wadena as well. (also- your camera is AMAZING!)

  • GOD bless those people!

  • It breaks my heart to see so many are damaged. I knew the area so well. I grew up near the fairground and baseball grandstand. During my childhood, I took short cut riding bike from my house through fairground and across the railroad then to high school or to the summer swimming pool. I pray for all Wadena people.

  • You did an excellent job shooting the videos!
