My name is David Kendrick. This is a documentary I made with Angelo Mancuso over the summer of 2010. I was a Cavalry Scout in the U.S. Army from 2005-2010. I was shot by a sniper in Sadir City June 17, 2007. I got out of the military and was denied social security, and unemployment, and could not find a job. Every loophole that could be found to deny me these benefits was found. I tried to talk to all the major media but I guess my story wasn't intresting enough. After trying all media, I would love to appear on the Colbert Report, or the Daily Show to talk about what's wrong with this broken system for veterans.

  • @soshanna68 That's what i'm talking about. Too many people find it easier to attack the troops rather than the politicians committing the wrong doings. If you run for office, let me know you def got my vote.

  • My brother linked this story on his Facebook. He's also a veteran but he was stationed in Afghanistan. I hope more people take note of this and hopefully my brother and myself and others spreading the world will help.

Best of luck to you in the future.

  • @flawliss20 Go to IVAW dot ORG and check out the operation recovery tab. You can also find a robust conversation with all sorts of vets happening at their facebook group.

  • mspg org Merit Systems Protection Board The federal Merit Systems Protection Board exists to protect the rights of federal civil service employees. The MSPB is designed to be independent of partisan politics and to provide federal employees with an opportunity to appeal adverse and unfair personnel decisions. In order to fulfill its role as an independent and fair system, the MSPB has been carefully organized and its board members have been appointed by the President.

  • Unfortunately most Americans support the troops until they really need it. I hope things have started to look up for you.

  • Thanks for telling your story, David. I wish you the best. Probably the best thing you can do is network with other vets. I'm sorry for your suffering but keep telling your story. The wars need to end. Peace.
