Malawi's First Lady and Ambassador Brian Bowler spoke at UN conference.mov

H.E. Madame Callista Mutharika, the First Lady of the Republic of Malawi, visited the Chancery of the Permanent Mission of MALAWI to the United Nations in New York.

The first lady attended a side event of the 44th Session of the UN ECOSOC Commission on Population and Development on the fight against Non Communicable diseases on Wednesday,13th April,2011 at the UN Headquarters, where she addressed the meeting as incoming vice Chairperson of the Forum of African First Ladies against Breast and cervical Cancer.

The theme of the meeting was "No woman left behind in the fight against NCDs: Towards health services that address breast and cervical cancer.

Her Excellency Madame Callista Mutharika and His Excellency Mr. Brian Bowler, Permanent Representative/ Ambassador of Republic of Malawi to Un both made presentations .
