Mercedes 420SEL $1000

I just bought this Mercedes 420SEL for $1000. It will bea project car for me. I need to fix the Idle speed control, difficulty stasrting, air conditioning, sunroof,rear left window, and a slight oil leak. The car is in running condition and will still do 0-60 in 9 seconds. Not bad.

hmmm. My diesel has that weird crap on the gauges too. I don't Understand why your sunroof doesn't work. 268,000 miles for me.

ive noticed that a lot of these sels oil gauges stay at 3 even though the gas isnt pressed ughh

Nice project car. The A/C might be your biggest challenge if it is your evaporator leaking.These cars do not come apart easily.

Have you fixed the idle problem?

Got the same on mine when temeratures drop below 32°F.

Maybe it´s the idle control valve. I´m very curious if you fixed that and if yes, how?

I tell you a classic never dies, thats one nice ride, I can't belive you got that for $1000 I can't wait to finish restoring my pops SEL420 he paid $50k back in 86 for it.
