  • One of the most underated bands. Great songwriting. Saw them 1972, my first concert when I was 12 in San Antonio. I will always rember that. Straight Up, is one of the best albums of all time. IMHO...

  • not just another great 70's band, one of the greatest 70's bands/acts..the original line-up

was so full of talent, that was never realized due to the hardships & tragedy they went thru.

  • @HousleyMike.. Without Pete the song doesn't exist. Maybe the band sounds tighter but Pete's vocal is better in every version live or not.

  • It's not Peter Ham... good effort.

  • Great job, especially on the vocal!

  • This shouldn't be compared to the studio version. It should be compared to live versions. Joey's singing is better and his band is tighter (and the tempo is better) than the Pete Ham & original line-up version on the *Day After Day* album. For that matter, that's one reason Badfinger never got the recognition the Beatles did: they were not nearly as good, practiced and experienced as a live band.

  • I don't care if their voices lose a little over the years. I still love and love to hear the guys who put so much into this beautiful music in the first place. RIP Pete/Tom. You guys left a big space to fill.

  • The tempo was just a little slow.

  • wasnt even born yet but i would have to agree that this is 1 of the best bands of all time. just discovered them within the last few months and i cant get enough.

  • Joey sounds really good here at the age of 40...but more recent footage of him at 60+ I'm afraid his voice is gone.

  • Straight Up! I have to agree with that.
